Verizon has reduced the pricing of the Motorola Droid Razr M Android smartphone, and the device would now be available for a price tag of $50 if the user subscribes to a 2-year agreement with the carrier. The price earlier was $99 through Verizon, but now it makes easier for people to choose this phone as they won’t have to shell out a big amount while taking a brand new phone from the store. The discounted price is in view of the holiday season, when most of the users would be trying to grab the best deals and purchase them at the best prices available.
The Droid Razr M received a good response initially after the launch because of the neat specs included, and the Android Jelly Bean OS with the dual-core processor, and this was one of the early phones from Motorola with the Jelly Bean version. This could be considered by many as one of the phones which don’t keep itself low on specs, but at the same time, doesn’t have the factors to be included in the high-end phone market. Refreshing the specifications, here is what the Motorola Droid Razr M comes with:
4.3-inch Screen – Super AMOLED Advanced display panel with Corning Gorilla glass
Screen resolution – 540 x 960 pixels (256 PPI)
1.5GHz Dual-core processor
Adreno 225 graphics processor
2000 mAh battery
8-megapixel camera on the rear side
1080p HD video recording
Front-facing camera with HD 720p video
1GB RAM
8GB Internal Memory, Expandable to 32GB
4G LTE Connectivity
Dimensions: 4.82 x 2.39 x 0.33 inches
Wireless: N Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0
Motorola has taken the support of the Adreno 225 graphics processor to provide a better and brighter display, and the processor clocks the speeds of upto 1.5GHz while the camera of the Razr M can record the videos at 1080p HD quality. There is a front camera too, which can record videos at 720p quality. The Droid Razr M can share the 4G LTE connectivity with the wireless devices using the Mobile Hotspot option, and the phone can take the advantage of the Verizon’s 4G network.
The 2000 mAh battery can provide a talk time of 20 hours and around 408 hours of standby. That could be considered quite a lot if the battery takes up the load of the dual-core processor and the heavy display. During the launch, the Motorola Droid Razr M was launched with the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and if you were one of those early buyers then here’s how you can update your Droid Razr M to Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS.
