ZTE Apache Android Phone Rumored – 8-core Processor, 13MP Camera, 4G LTE

The world right now goes bonkers even when a company launches a phone with a quad-core processor, but that would soon be just another smartphone because there are rumors about phones being planned with the processors having eight cores. The codename Apache is being given to the device that is being made by ZTE and it is rumored to have some of the specifications that could beat any smartphone in the current market.

The processor that the phone might be having is Mediatek ARM15 MT6599 chip with eight cores, and along with that, the Apache from ZTE could have an HD display with the 1080p screen resolution. To add to this, there would be a 13-megapixel camera and a 4G LTE connectivity available. Now, is there any device with such specs? We have seen the quad-core phones having the other high-end specs but having an 8-core processor is something too exceptional, and this would have a tag of being the world’s fastest smartphone.

This could be just a part of experiment from the manufacturer, and even if the device wouldn’t deliver what is expected from it, this would spark out a big competitions with every other brand making devices with the 8-core processors.
One big question right now, is whether the ZTE Apache would be unveiled at the CES in January or is that too soon? If not the CES, we are sure going to hear something at the MWC. There have been rumors that Samsung is also working on a device that could have a processor with eight cores, and along with that they are working on HD displays.

The Huawei D-Quad that was announced during the Mobile World Congress in February this year didn’t show up for around six months and thus was a failure. We hope ZTE doesn’t fumble after announcing something big.
