The Chinese market is one of those where the Dual SIM phones are always in abundance, and the users do sometimes try to choose a device which has a dual-SIM capability rather than the one which has a few better specs, because that’s one of the basic needs there. The big brands haven’t stopped themselves from doing the best to bring out the Dual SIM versions of their best smartphones, so after the plans for the Galaxy S III came out, Samsung has unveiled the Dual-SIM version of the Samsung Galaxy Note II, with the code GT-N7102 while the international single SIM one is the N7100.
There’s nothing changed in the main specs of the phone but only that the users can have two SIM cards inserted in it in the standby mode. The phone would be available only in China, and with the two color options – White and Blue, the Note II is going to be sold from December 3rd.
The GT-N7102 is expected to come for a price of around 5,199 CNY ($835), and out of the two SIM cards that would be supported, one would be the normal SIM and one Micro SIM.
The specs that are included in the International version of the Galaxy Note II, is what you see in the Chinese model. To refresh that, here is the list:
5.5 inch Super AMOLED HD display
1.6GHz Quad-core Exynos processor
Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system
8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording
1.9MP front camera
2GB of RAM
16GB Internal memory
Expandable memory of upto 64GB using MicroSD card
3100 mAh battery
One of the best things about the Note II phone is the battery capacity, which is 3100 mAh and the actual Note II with a single SIM has a good backup, but there could be a different level of battery drain when you are using two SIM cards together.
Apparently, this being available only in China, won’t be making the impact that the International versions of the Note II did, being one of the best rated phone in the range of large-screen Android smartphones. The launch date was set for today, i.e. 24th November but it got delayed, now being scheduled for 3rd December.
